Ron Sutton

Meet

Ronald Andrew (Ron) Sutton

I was born and reared in Abilene, Texas, and attended public schools there first through twelfth  grades. After graduating from Hardin-Simmons University with degrees in Political Science and Business/Public Administration, I went directly into the textile (fabrics) and needle trades (garment manufacturing) industries. My career path and responsibilities required extensive travel, which is another excellent source for education.

Love at first sight hit me like a ton of bricks when I met a farmer’s daughter while in high school. Barbara and I have been married for 57 years. We have two sons, two precious daughters-in-law, and eight flawless grandchildren (six boys/two girls).

Hood County has been our home for 31 years. We are convinced that this is the finest place to live in the great state of Texas. It is a slice of Heaven on the banks of the historic Brazos River. I want to do my part in preserving and sustaining all the positive attributes of Hood County: past,  present, and future. Therefore, I look forward to serving all citizens of our great county as the next Hood County Judge.

I’m most confident that God has equipped me to serve as County Judge spiritually, mentally, and physically. Through my education, professional  career, and life experiences,

I have learned to be competent, caring, and conservative.

As County Judge my number one responsibility and commitment will be the safety and wellbeing of all Hood County citizens. The foundation for every decision made must be based on that number one responsibility and commitment.
