FOR HOOD COUNTY JUDGE
MOMENTS
Campaign
Throughout the campaign, community events and special celebrations have offered meaningful opportunities to connect with longtime friends and make new friends and supporters. We’re especially thankful for the opportunity to listen to Hood County residents — hearing your concerns, hopes, and ideas. These memorable moments — the smiles, conversations, and shared energy — are what fuel my campaign to serve you as Hood County Judge. Thank you for your encouragement, support and vote.
Hope you enjoy the photos.

DAR Wreaths Across America
Saturday morning, December 13th, was a memorial event at the State Park Cemetery in Acton, celebrating Wreaths Across America (WAA). Pictured here are some of the program audience and volunteers who placed wreaths on the graves of veterans. WAA is a non-profit organization with a mission to; Remember the fallen, Honor those who serve and their families, and Teach the next generation about freedom. WAA is best known for its annual December event where volunteers place live balsam wreaths on veterans' headstones at national cemeteries and other locations across the U.S., ensuring no veteran is forgotten. This tradition, started with donations to Arlington National Cemetery in 1992 by Morrill Worcester, grew into a nationwide effort involving millions of volunteers placing over 3 million wreaths annually at thousands of locations to honor fallen heroes and teach the next generation about freedom.

A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who gathered at the home of Jim and Judy Scott for our November 20 "Meet & Greet". Our hearts where blessed that you got out on a rainy evening to hear my plans for the future of Hood County.

I had a very enjoyable evening spending time with and listening to the volunteers at the North
Hood County VFD. Thank you, Chief Mike Bell, for your Texas hospitality and courtesies. These brave, bright, dedicated men and women are an important asset
to the safety and well-being of all our citizens and community.
Thank you for serving Hood County!

I had a great time at the annual Lipan VFD Kickapoo Festival held on Saturday, October 18, 2025! It was an outstanding event notwithstanding the afternoon rains. I enjoyed meeting and having lively conversations with many Lipan citizens and other voters all-across Hood County.

On Sunday, October 19, I attended the Riley Stephens Memorial Post 7835 VFW Fall Festival. This event was fun for all ages serves a great cause: raising funds to support local veterans and their families.

FILING DAY – NOVEMBER 8, 2025
Today was a most enjoyable and exciting day because it’s the first day for filing for county office. It is the official launch of my campaign to serve all citizens of Hood County as your next County Judge.
As I was completing the county judge filing forms, I reflected on the many blessings that we enjoy in our great county and state. I also thought of my number one commitment and responsibility while serving you, which will be the safety, well-being and quality of life for all Hood County citizens now and in the future. The foundation for every decision made will be based on that number one commitment and responsibility.
My involvement in leadership roles has taught me to be a good listener, to be fair and to lead by example. Through hard work and determination, I’ve become a results-driven visionary seeing what is, and equally important, seeing what can be. Above all, I have gained the competency to make tough decisions with transparency and accountability that will benefit the safety, well-being and quality of life for all Hood County citizens.
I have lived in the great state of Texas my entire life and have been blessed to call Hood County home for the last 32 years. Every opportunity I’ve had to serve my community has taught me new skills and valuable life lessons. It has been an honor to be a part of several civic and political organizations throughout my career, and I look forward to serving you as the next Hood County Judge.

On Monday, October 5th, I was honored to be welcomed into the home of Senator Brian Birdwell and his wife, Mel, for a fundraiser in support of my campaign. The evening was filled with warm fellowship, meaningful conversations, and a shared commitment to the future of our community.

It’s always good to have Congressman Roger Williams visit Hood County. He sincerely loves our community, the great state of Texas, and the great United States.” Barbara and I enjoyed his presentation, great food, and visiting with new and longtime friends at the Chamber’s Leaders in Government luncheon.

What a great weekend participating in the Fourth of July parades on Granbury’s historic square and Pecan Plantation. It was so much fun seeing all of the precious children dressed in red, white and blue as they waved to us and said, “Happy Fourth”. We love our home in Pecan Plantation, as well as Granbury and Hood County, and feel that we have found our little slice of Heaven on the Brazos.

It was a pleasure spending time at the Senate Wives Dinner in Austin with the Honorable Senator Brian Birdwell and the beautiful First Lady of SD 22, Mel Birdwell!
I was honored to serve as co-chair of Senator Birdwell's finance team and treasurer for his campaign - experiences that strengthened my leadership skills and help prepare me to serve as your next Hood County Judge.
